“The mission of this club is to embrace and provide a comfortable space for women and men (if they chose) who share the same passion and respect for the sport to be educated. In this process meet others who share your love for the sport. My goal is for each trainee to become a safe, competent and confident cyclist.”

The Women@Work Cycling Club LLC is a bicycle club, created by me, Robin L. Woods. Our primary purpose is to provide education for new and veteran cyclists alike. When we are not attending workshops, we are traveling to various cities to ride with other bike clubs. A typical riding season for Women@Work is March through November or anytime the temperature is above 45 degrees.

I became a Certified Ride Leader in 2012 through the American League of Bicyclist and was awarded Pittsburgh Major Taylor Cycling Club’s (PMTCC’s) Most Improved Cyclist in December 2013.

After riding in numerous out of state bike tours I began to lead rides for PMTCC and Black Girls Do Bike (BGDB). In October of 2017 I changed the name from OTB Unplugged to Women at Work (W@W) and created a Facebook group.

During the unfortunate pandemic of 2020, more people than ever before began to bicycle in order to get outdoors and exercise as gyms closed for a year or more. Consequently my focus as a cyclist changed as I saw an opportunity to create a business doing something that I had been doing all along, educating people about cycling.
